Zirri, 0-60 mph time.

Would like to see around 25hp at the real wheel.
I guess it maybe would be possible with the following, the hp from the forcemaster and camshaft is just a guess becouse there are no result yet but i think it would be something like this.

Maybe polini cilinder/malossi ~2hp, malossi forcemaster ~2hp and a different camshaft~2hp (that i cant buy right becouse its not being sold). This would be possible under 1500 euro.

Well real difference i can see is that the polini has a bigger bore.
And polini says incredible explosion of power for your scooter engine😂 wich is stupid becouse it only makes 2 hp more if the dyno result are correct from another forum. Not seen any result of the malossi cylinder used in the hpe.

With the malossi cylinder you would not gain any bhp in my eyes, as the displacement isn't that much more and compression seems to be equal.
I think, also malossi claimed its cylinder as a "replacement" for HPE, no "tuning"

Polini (a bit more displacement) and tuning camshaft can bring you a bit closer to your goal.
Forcemaster is something you will need at the end to reach halfway good lambda values. Otherwise you will run very lean.

So in fact you can currently buy the Polini Kit that gains a measurable power increase of 1,5-2 BHP on the wheel (where is the Dyno diagram by the way?) in combination with the Forcemaster3, Airbox and Filter tuning, the KB Speedwheel, a nice variator/clutch setup and a better exhaust you are going to get a noticeable increase of performance.

That's my proposal for "DIY tuning for Vespa HPE"

Of cause, tuning means that you never reach the target. Every success means a new challenge.

No diagram post, only some numbers in a tabel 😅
I Have messaged someone who installed it and curios for his review.

Polini also doesnt give/have the compression ratio when i contact a dealer.

Malossi looking at the stats dont bring much, looking at the compression ratio malossi 12,5:1(if true) and orginal 11,5:1(according manual) there maybe be something (1hp)

Also for the forcemaster 3 with the “1000 more rpm” is it from 0 - to the top 1000 more rpm or only at the top?

Sadly if its true polini 294 only 2 hp, would be more motivated to replace it if it was more, alot of work, but thats the thing with the vespa alot of work and money to gain something. And if you really want gains you have to be a professional tuner. But still interested to make is quicker😜

Well, nothing more to expect at the moment if you do it yourself and don't have much experience with four stroke tuning. Pulling the engine out is kind of the first thing to worry about but you get better and faster the more often you do it.

By the way I am going to tune my HPE engine soon and want to share the steps here in a separate topic. Just busy collecting the parts at the moment :)

Rob, you have high expectations for little budget.
Performance increase from HPE standard to HPE Polini 294 was 1.3PS (peak power) including Polini ECU at the Dynotest from STC Group -> Result was a little bit over 20hp (Result from Dynojet; for comparison about plus 10% at Ammerschläger P4 Dyno means 22hp) at the rear wheel with installed Polini 294 KIT.
The Remus exhaust (Dual Flow) that you have installed is one of the worst in connection with engine tuning.
At your first post you wrote, that you have installed 13gr Dr Pulley sliders. What acceleration speed do your engine reach with this adjustment? Acc. speed of your engine should be near the power peak.
Have you already made an appointment with your ecu tuner in the meantime?

Hi Zirri

https://www.bilder-upload.eu/bild-e4898 ... 2.jpg.html

I have modded the hpe airbox a bit, you can read it here https://modernvespa.com/forum/post2461655#top

Think im not doing the polini 294, too much work and expensive for not much. Maybe in the future will do the malossi forcemaster 3 or ecu tuning. The idea was to do this in combination with another cilinder for maximum result. But yea 294 not really worth it i guess

Zirri
The remus dual flow i have has a adjusted below pipe(bought it like this) If im correct the stock remus flows mainly to the above pipe were it has to make a akward bend and below db killer cant be removed also.

What do you mean with acceleration speed? The dr pulley made a big difference, very strong from the line and when i pull the trottle when riding goes almost instant to max Rpm. Meter indicates then 7400 and at the top indicated 7900 .

The only thing i have a little is becouse the start is very strong it feels after that at ~20-50 kmh a bit slow.
